I took the cover photo for the new Animal World Recordings release, “I’ll Stay Til After Christmas,” a project benefiting Amnesty International.

The holiday compilation is a digital-only release, so it is primarily selling through iTunes. While most people who hear the collection enjoy it (myself included) there is a vocal minority who takes personal offense. Here are some choice attempts at cheap shots:
From “St. Andrew”: “…one listen to the versions of “I’ll be home for Christmas” or “Silent Night” on this record and you’ll slit your wrists in the bathtub. Seriously.”
From “jmo38″: “Who are these people? This recording studio needs a security guard badly.”
and the best of the bunch from “crackandrhymes”: “This is garbage.”
As you can see, these are feeble attempts at cheap shots. Why not listen to the tracks for yourself and improve upon these disgracefully amateur insults (if you don’t totally dig the record, which you will probably dig)?
