The Cheap Shot Posse

This Time Magazine article talks a lot about Sarah Palin, America’s favorite new Vice Presidential nominee and could-be sexy librarian. But hold your horses you “book-lovin’-women” lovers. It turns out she’ll never be the sexy librarian of your dreams because she’s more of a book-hatin’-woman.

“Stein says that as mayor, Palin continued to inject religious beliefs into her policy at times. “She asked the library how she could go about banning books,” he says, because some voters thought they had inappropriate language in them. “The librarian was aghast.” That woman, Mary Ellen Baker, couldn’t be reached for comment, but news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire Baker for not giving “full support” to the mayor.”

Too bad. Guess I’m going to have to have ol’ Cindy McCain read me “Where the Red Fern Grows” tonight.

i’ve missed you. life got in the way of our love, and i didn’t fight for your honor. i’m sorry. i have seen many interesting things in my time away…very few of which are worth posting, so you haven’t really missed out on anything.

regardless, i plan on getting back on the posting bus. i’d give you something worthwhile now, but i just bought season 4 of the office, and there’s chicken and rice on the stove (the gills would be proud), and a bottle of wine ready to become good friends. i may or may not be having an evening alone.

my point is that i’d like to dust off my chair in the clubhouse and join back in on the fun.
